How Jetrans Global Freight collects, uses and protects personal data.
Last updated 2 November 2026
About this policy
This policy explains how Jetrans Global Freight ("Jetrans", "we", "us") handles personal data when you use jetransmovers.com, request a quote, track a shipment or contact us. By using the website you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not submit personal data through the website.
What personal data we collect
We collect only what is needed to answer you and move your cargo.
- Enquiries and callbacks. Name, work email, company, service of interest, ready date and the cargo details you type into the contact form.
- Quote requests. The route, cargo and estimate you submit, together with your name, email and optional phone number.
- Shipment records. For customers we ship for: name, email, order number, cargo description, origin, destination and tracking events.
- Shipment tracking. The tracking ID you enter and your IP address, which we use briefly to limit abusive lookups.
- Technical data. Browser type, device and pages visited, recorded in standard server logs.
How we use personal data
- To reply to enquiries, prepare quotes and arrange freight, warehousing and customs services.
- To send transactional emails about your shipment, such as dispatch, status and hold notices.
- To show live tracking and the shipment map.
- To keep the website secure, prevent spam and fix faults.
- To meet legal, customs and record-keeping obligations.
Marketing
We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it. We do not sell personal data. If marketing messages are ever introduced you will be able to opt out in every message or by writing to us.
Cookies and third-party services
The website uses a small number of cookies and browser storage, described in our Cookie Policy. To display pages we load fonts, scripts, images and map tiles from third-party providers such as Google Fonts, Tailwind CDN, cdnjs, Unsplash and Esri. These providers receive your IP address when your browser requests their files. We do not use advertising or retargeting trackers.
Information we receive from other sources
In the course of a shipment we may receive details about you or your company from shippers, consignees, carriers, customs authorities and credit or compliance screening services.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only where needed to deliver the service: carriers, airlines, shipping lines, truckers, warehouse partners, customs brokers and authorities, our email and hosting providers, and professional advisers. These recipients may use the data only for the purpose we shared it. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
International transfers
Freight is international by nature, so shipment data can be sent to parties in other countries, including countries whose data-protection rules differ from yours. We limit transfers to what the shipment needs and use contractual or other safeguards where the law requires them.
Security and retention
We use access controls, encrypted connections and reputable hosting to protect data. No online system is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending sensitive documents by unencrypted channels. We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards. Shipment and customs records are kept for the period required by customs, tax and transport law, then deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal data we hold about you and obtain a copy;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete data we no longer need to keep;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it, and complain to your data-protection authority.
To use any right, email jetransmovers@gmail.com. We may ask you to verify your identity first and will reply within the time the law allows.
California residents
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, and will not be treated differently for doing so. An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf with written proof of authority.
Children
The website is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
The website may link to carriers, authorities or other third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
