Shipping and customs FAQ

Answers to the questions shippers ask most about rates, documents, duties and claims.

Rates and booking

We bill the greater of actual and volumetric weight. Volumetric divisors are 6,000 cm³ per kg for air, 3,000 cm³ per kg for road and 1,000 kg per CBM for ocean LCL.

Indicative rates appear instantly in the estimator. A written quote follows within one business hour.

No. They are indicative and exclude duties, taxes, surcharges and origin or destination handling.

Customs and duties

Yes. Send a product description, material, use and a photo. Brokers confirm the HS code before the shipment sails.

Cargo and claims

Carrier liability is limited by international conventions and is usually far below cargo value. We recommend all-risks cargo insurance, added to any quote at a percentage of invoice value.

Yes, subject to classification. Send the safety data sheet and UN number with your request. Reefer and pharma-grade cold chain is available on ocean and air lanes.

Note it on the delivery receipt, photograph the cargo and packaging, and contact the desk within the time limit stated in your booking terms.
